Songs for Every Season: Psalms

The psalms give words for every feeling, from deep sorrow to loud praise. Each day we read one psalm slowly, notice how the writer talks to God, and make it our own prayer.

The Psalter has 150 psalms in five books (1-41, 42-72, 73-89, 90-106, 107-150). Superscriptions name David, Asaph, the sons of Korah, Moses and others. Forms include praise, lament, thanksgiving, wisdom and royal psalms.
