Ecclesiastes: Meaning Under the Sun

The Preacher searches for meaning in work, pleasure and wisdom and finds it all vapour, until life is received as God's gift and God is feared.

The author calls himself Qoheleth, 'the Preacher', son of David. Many see Solomon; others a later writer using a Solomonic persona.
