Daniel: Faithful in Babylon

Faithfulness in a pagan culture, the fiery furnace, the lions' den and visions of God's everlasting kingdom and the Son of man.

Daniel was taken to Babylon in 605 BC. Chapters 1-6 are narratives; 7-12 apocalyptic visions. Parts are written in Aramaic (2:4-7:28). Dating is debated: 6th century or 2nd century BC.
