1 Chronicles: David and Worship

Chronicles retells Israel's story for those back from exile. In 1 Chronicles we see David bring the ark home, receive God's covenant and prepare for the temple.

Chronicles was written after the exile, likely in the 5th or 4th century BC. Jewish tradition credits Ezra. It focuses on David's line, the temple and worship.
